Pioneer Clubs
"Pioneer Clubs has been an exciting ministry to be involved with especially when we hear that the kids look forward to coming and are enthusiastic to finish their projects." - Yvette
Our theme verse is "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." - Psalm 119:105.
The focus of the ministry is to provide kids a safe place to belong and to experience God's love through their church family.
In many of the stories we study, we indeed find that God's word equips us for every situation we will encounter in life. Pioneer Clubs is a Christ-centered program that integrates spiritual and personal growth with an emphasis on evangelism and discipleship.
We currently have four clubs that work with Pre-K to 5th grade children that meet on Friday evenings. The kids work hard to earn their Bible and Activity badges in a non-competitve atmosphere where the emphasis is on learning to be a child of God.
Ways to get involved:
We are looking for one to two teachers for the Pre K - K Club to help out from March 2007 through June 2007. We already have 2 to 3 helpers each week - we just need someone willing to lead the team.
We are also looking for more teachers to help support the ministry in Fall 2007 which will include:
Pre K- K - Scooters Club
1st -2nd grade - Voyagers Club
3rd grade - Pathfinders Club
4th-5th grade - Trailblazers Club
Teachers responsibilites include preparing a lesson and activity from a preset curriculum ordered through Pioneer Clubs.
We are also looking for secret prayer and pen pals for Fall 2007! We would like to implement a Prayer Pal system where we will match an adult/college student with a Pioneer Club member where they can pass notes of encouragement back and forth for a few months and have an unveiling party at the end of the semester.
