CEC's church-wide women's ministry called  Women's day, it's for those college and above. Its purpose is to gather women from all three congregations together for fellowship to encourage them to have a closer walk with Christ, get to know each other better, build strong bonds of friendship, and to learn to care for one another.

If it is held in the spring, a tea is scheduled at someone's home. If it is held in the fall, most of the time is devoted to helping put together shoeboxes for the Samaritan's Purse project -  Operation Christmas Child. In this way the women are giving and receiving.

Women's Day has many opportunities for you to serve. Please prayerfully consider the following areas and contact Oleta Wong (wongoly@sbcglobal.net) for more information.

• HOSTESS Open up your home for one of our Women's Days.
• PUBLICITY/REGISTRATION Use your creative gifts for flyers and forms.
• PROGRAM Oversee the flow of the gathering. (devotion, singing, games, crafts, lunch, small groups, prayer, etc.)
• DEVOTIONAL/SONG LEADER Begin the day with inspirational from the Word. Have someone lead the women in praises to our Lord.
• CRAFTS Fun activity which easily engages women in conversation.
• SHOEBOX PROJECT Organize this from beginning to end and be blessed.
• SMALL GROUPS Place the women in small groups and provide guidance.
• PRAYER/WELCOME LEADER Remind the committee to pray specifically for the event. Welcome each woman and introduce newcomers to others.
• FOOD/BEVERAGES Plan a delicious menu for the tea or meeting.
