Rev. Nelson Chan
Interim Cantonese Pastor

Pastor Nelson Chan was born in China and raised in Hong Kong. He received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and has worked in the Silicon Valley for 10 years. He felt called to full-time ministry, and therefore entered Westminster Theological Seminary in California. He received his M.Div. in 1992 and has since served in various pastoral ministries, and also as missionary in Germany for 2 years. He joined CEC in 2007 as interim pastor to the Cantonese congregation.

He met his wife Florence at Stanford. They felt called together, went to seminary together and have served together ever since. They have been blissfully married for 27 years.
